Parade Marshal: Georgia Koch
The theme of the 4th of July Parade and Festivities is "Independence Day - The Glen Ellyn Way". The Grand Marshal of the parade is Georgia Koch, Co-Executive Director of the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce and a 30 year resident of Glen Ellyn. Georgia has been involved in several community service roles such as: United Way Executive Director; entertainment ticket sales manager for the DuPage County Fair; the Village Zoning Board of Appeals; and as an election judge. She also founded the Forest Glen School Chess Club and was active in the Glen Ellyn Junior Women’s Club and Glen Ellyn Infant Welfare Society and as the Welfare Secretary for the Salvation Army.

Parade Route
The parade steps off from Lake and Crescent, at Noon time on Saturday, July 4th. The route proceeds West on Crescent to Main Street. North on Main Street to Linden and East on Linden to Lake Ellyn Park. Parade participants can be picked up at Lake Ellyn Park immediately after the parade.

Volunteers Needed
Help is needed for all 4th of July activities and at the June 27th Picnic in the Park. To volunteer manpower, call Jim Bourke, 630-220-1400.
